SWEET DREAMS CAN BE YOURS!
As the "mistress" of the OutWest Shop website I enjoy sharing a wide variety of our selections with you - books, apparel, and fashion accessories are the norm. Today I'm featuring something completely different! Do you know that we offer Native American art? In addition to folk art by Edith Herbert John, we also carry Navajo Dream Catchers. Part of our HERO COLLECTION, 20% of your purchase of Dream Catchers supports BLUE STAR RANCH through August 31st.
To protect our dreams from bad ones and catch the only good ones, the ancestors created the “Dream Catcher”. #dreamcatcherquotes
During the years we had a storefront, we assisted many customers with their Dream Catcher selections. We heard stories of adults' sleepless nights, children frightened of the dark and unable to sleep, and a wide variety of other sleep deprived related situations. They were often given as house warming gifts or upon the redecorating of a bedroom. One thing we always shared - don't hang a Dream Catcher on your car rear rview mirror unless you want to fall asleep behind the whieel!

Each Dream Catcher is unique and comes with an attached Navajo Certificate of Authenticity with this description:
The Dream Catcher was a personal fetish, bestowing its medicine on its owner while he slept by catching bad Dreams in its webbing and letting the pleasant dreams through to him. Originally weaved with deer sinew on a willow hoop, adorned with personal fetishes as well as beads and feathers, the Dream Catcher hung in the lodge to the East awaiting the morning sun which would burn off all the bad dreams captured in its web during the hours of darkness.
